Started in 1852, the Barry County Fair moved from its location in downtown Hastings
to our present site in 1990. With the advantage of more space and a lot of hard work
by many volunteers, today's present 160 acre site boasts 6 barns, 3 outdoor arenas,
a ½ mile racetrack, a 260 site campground with water/electric hook-

We are happy to inform you that the 2009 Barry County Fair will continue to pay its portion of the premium money for Open and Youth entries despite the funding cuts by the State of Michigan.
As a result of the elimination of fair premiums for 2009 by the State of Michigan, the Barry County Agricultural Society will be paying 33 percent of the published premium total. Also, your entries will still receive ribbons, rosettes and traditional bragging rights.
